Tracy's love of photography began at a young age... In fact, she even has a journal from when she was seven stating that she would like to become a photographer when she "grows up." While attending high school, she was a photographer for the student yearbook, the school newspaper and the music department.
Following high school, she began work as a wedding photographer's assistant. And although she learned a lot during her years at that studio, she didn't respond well to the traditional formality of wedding photography and decided instead to concentrate on her education. During her years in college she worked on honing her artistic style.
Soon after leaving school, Tracy landed work as a dance photographer. However, traveling around the country on the job for six years became tiresome and Tracy decided to once again try her hand at wedding photography. She was hired by a studio in Orange County, well known for its more creative style -- Tracy quickly felt she had finally found her “niche.” Working for the studio for over five years, Tracy built up her experience and eventually set out to start a studio of her own.... This is now Tracy's seventh year in business and she is proud of what she has achieved.
In 2004 Tracy happened to meet a great guy, Jon Chambers, at a local Ikea store...and the two quickly fell in love. Now they are celebrating two years of marriage and have a beautiful daughter named Charlie Rae. (Of course Charlie is Tracy’s favorite new model.)
With the little free time they have left after working and just “being parents”, the family likes to spend time traveling -- something they like to do as much as possible. Sometimes Tracy is lucky enough to combine work and travel. She has photographed weddings all over the world, including Spain, Cabo San Lucas-Mexico, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Mammoth Lakes, and Santa Barbara. But most weekends, you can find her photographing a wedding somewhere in the Orange County or Los Angeles area.
